Overview

.Graduates with PhD in literature come out with the qualitative and quantitative skills necessary for professional research and teaching in English.  

The programme comprises research and thesis and takes a minimum of 18 months and a maximum of four years of full-time study or five years of part-time study after the candidate registers for the programme.

The minimum qualifications a candidate needs are a Masters degree in Literature or a relevant field of the University of Nairobi or equivalent qualifications from institutions the University of Nairobi Senate recognizes.
